The product

SlateVeil provides local screenshot editing and optional pattern suggestions in supported web browsers. Automatic detection can miss sensitive details or identify harmless text. You are responsible for reviewing the finished export before sharing it. The separate Android Play Free product remains Redact It; its optional home-screen widget opens the system Photo Picker and passes only the image you select to its editor.

License

The free SlateVeil editor may be used without an account. A SlateVeil Pro purchase grants one person a non-transferable license for up to three personal devices. The app-issued recovery key can list and release those device slots. You may not resell recovery keys, bypass activation limits, or offer SlateVeil itself as a competing hosted product.

Local data and transfers

SlateVeil does not provide cloud storage or synchronization for screenshots, settings, exports, or recovery keys. You are responsible for saving exports you want to keep and storing the app-issued recovery key somewhere secure. If every activated device and the saved recovery key are lost, support may require the Stripe receipt to verify the purchase and cannot guarantee automatic recovery. The separate Redact It Android app excludes its app data from cloud backup and device-to-device transfer.

Payments and third parties

Checkout, receipts, refunds, and any store distribution are provided by the merchant or app store identified in that flow and are also subject to that provider's terms. A refund, dispute, reversal, or deletion of the purchase-validation record may revoke the related Pro entitlement.

No compliance guarantee

SlateVeil is not legal, security, or regulatory advice and does not guarantee compliance with any privacy or security framework.

Availability

The service is provided as available. Local editing may continue from cached resources, but OCR models, checkout, licensing, system picker, widget, and browser capabilities can be temporarily unavailable or behave differently across devices.

Liability

To the extent allowed by law, SlateVeil is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, disclosure caused by an unreviewed image, or use outside the documented workflow. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

Changes

Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date. Features already purchased as part of the lifetime version-one Pro offer will not be converted into a mandatory subscription.
